Once Kerb Drill has been completed, pupils should understand how to :
Determine a safer place to cross a road
Assess the hazards at the roadside when crossing
We have been learning about Kerb Drill
I know when I want to cross a road I should find the safest place to cross.
I know I should move away from objects that are blocking my view of the road.
I know I should find a place where I can see clearly in all directions.
I know I should take one step back from the kerb.
I know I should look right, then left, then right again.
I know I should cross the road when traffic has passed and it is safe to do so.
I know I should always cross in a straight line.
I know I should always continue to keep looking and listening as I cross.
I know I should always practise crossing the road with adults.
