    Sandwell Council , 3dnative and LearnPlay Foundation are striving for excellence in creating an effective and engaging platform for teaching young people about road safety through game play.

    Sandwell is a Metropolitan Borough in the West Midlands which comprises of 6 towns – Oldbury, Rowley Regis, Smethwick, Tipton, Wednesbury and West Bromwich.
    Highways, Sandwell Council has a good record in reducing casualties over the last ten years however we are fully committed to reducing further the number of people hurt or injured on our roads. We are constantly striving to develop new ways of working and we are excited to launch this innovative interactive road safety programme.

    Digital Road Safety is a new way of teaching road safety in the classroom. Aimed at children aged 5 to 7 years the Digital Road Safety series offers the primary school teacher three innovative and engaging approaches to teaching this important subject.

    Using the latest interactive media technology the series content teaches young children about keeping safe whilst crossing roads and general road safety.

    The Digital Road Safety series consists of a growing catalogue of interactive online games each of which teaches road safety in a fun and engaging way. This website is designed to help set out how to use the media in the classroom, what equipment is needed and how to instruct the class in their use.
